I thought software upgrades were supposed to provide improvement. More convenience. Additional features. Increased user friendliness. Silly me.
I laid out $[...] for Quicken 2010 because Quicken Billpay would no longer interface with my Quicken 2007. In short, Quicken extorted the money out of me by disabling my old software. Since I've been a Quicken fan and user for over 10 years I had faith in the company and looked forward to a better product.
Quicken 2010 is not better than Quicken 2007. In fact, I consider it worse. It requires more mouse clicks to accomplish the same tasks as before. It doesn't transcribe debit card payments accurately; although the amounts of debit are accurate the old Quicken identified the correct payee. The new Quicken does not accurately match payees. I've tried adjusting the settings but nothing has improved its performance in this area.
I've only been using it a couple of weeks now and am being more disappointed each time I boot it up. At this point I'm tempted to quit using Quicken altogether and switch to my bank's electronic bill paying service. Quicken got this $[...] out of me. Why should I continue paying $9.99/month for increased frustration?Get more detail about Quicken Deluxe 2010.
